What's a good picture-creating software?

GIMP is not good for drawing. Adobe Illustrator is the best drawing program out there and you can get a free 30-day trial at adobe.com.

What's a good picture-creating software?
It's all about the GIMP, just as good as photoshop without paying an arm and a leg for the software. Inkscape isn't bad either, but I think the GIMP has a much better range of function, and why download several programs when you can grab one that can do it all.
If you're looking for somthing nice and free, I recommend Paint.NET, which is free to download and has many features similar to Adobe Photoshop.
