How does one go about creating two separate 'accounts' on iTunes (i.e. I want to put two iPod's on one comp.)?
I am not a 100% positive, but its worth a try. Plug in your first ipod to your computer, and if its new to the system, itunes will take you through a program to name your ipod, etc.. What are the guidelines for creating a textural reduction?
there's a piano arrangement of this pop tune and id like to analyze the voice leading in it. my theory teacher says that a good pop tune will usually have good voice leading so i want to see what he means exactly. its a piano arrangement so its not nicely broken up into four parts, how can i do so?What are the guidelines for creating a textural reduction?

The best way to start would be to write out the melody line as the soprano part then figure out the bass line using the piano bass part as your guide. From there you would have to examine the piano notes in between the soprano and bass parts to see if you can come up with logical voice lines for the alto and tenor parts.

I'm interested in graphic design, but every school is incredibly competitive in this major! Only hundreds of thousands are accepted, and I really want to be one of them! Does anyone have suggestions on how to put together a good portfolio, or any strategies on how to get accepted into this major? Transferring in after freshman year also isn't an option at most schools so I need to be prepared before next fall!

* Then you have to write the information you want on your site in HTML. You link to pictures, e-mail addresses, webcams and all the other stuff through these html pages. I'm trying to create a fictitious world for use in my art. It's going to have a lot of detail - histories, geographies, beliefs, governments etc. - but I'm not sure where to start. I ALWAYS start with characters. looks, personality, ect.
As far as political systems and philosophy go, come up with something that reflects YOUR idea of great, and also something that makes people think. Make people wonder and come up with ideas. Seriously, I am sucker for these kinds of things.

History- Again, it should reflect your made-up society... Perhaps have something to do with our generation, if the story takes place in the future. This is the best way about making comments about our current society.

if you want to paste a picture from a website, just right click on it and copy, then go to your email and paste it, but if you want to take the picture from yahoo image search then enlarge it first before copying it to ensure a better resolution.

I'm interested in graphic design, but every school is incredibly competitive in this major! Only hundreds of thousands are accepted, and I really want to be one of them! Does anyone have suggestions on how to put together a good portfolio, or any strategies on how to get accepted into this major? In order to reduce poverty we must restrict welfare to only those who truly need it and force people who can work to fend for themselves or starve. I'm trying to create a fictitious world for use in my art. It's going to have a lot of detail - histories, geographies, beliefs, governments etc. - but I'm not sure where to start. Are there any resources or tips on how to successfully create a complex, detailed imaginary world?Any tips on creating a fictional world?
You have a very good start. Now add the day to day details. How do people eat? What do they eat? Where do they work? What is transportation? Currency? Communication? Problems? Climate? It goes on and on. Anne Mc Caffrey has done a wonderful job of creating the fictional world of Pern. Every single detail has been explored. Have you read them? Pax-CAny tips on creating a fictional world?
I ALWAYS start with characters. looks, personality, ect.
As far as political systems and philosophy go, come up with something that reflects YOUR idea of great, and also something that makes people think. Make people wonder and come up with ideas. Seriously, I am sucker for these kinds of things.
Geography- be creative! But have it reflect your society.
History- Again, it should reflect your made-up society... Perhaps have something to do with our generation, if the story takes place in the future. This is the best way about making comments about our current society.
After this, go into details. Once you have come up with the whole, create the individual.

A good way to use a history or geography book is to use the style of speech and replace it with your own details. I added history by finding news stories and then changing the details to match my own novel.
Since its always best to show instead of tell for religion, political and economic behavior, think of how you could show the behavior in a scene i.e. have people praying rather than saying people pray. Often movies can show areas that are hard to visit -- I like many of the BBC series.

I want a lot of stuff I can make by myself. A cool thing I liked was making a mirror with sea shells and small candles. I need some awesome ideas from you guys.

paint a wall in a seaside scene with perhaps a giraffe on a surf board for fun. place a beach umbrella in a corner or perhaps just a half one as if it is coming out of the painted scene and perhaps hang a sunhat, bucket and spade for storing papers etc and/or other things off it which you could possibly make yourself. if you want a chair in the room have what is called a deck/beach chair or bean bags (brownish) that could be like rocks. for the floor have a rug of some sort that is like a beach towel. the mirror with shells is a great idea. what about a mobile of fish. if you can find a light cover that resembles a sun it would be good.

Okay so an Idea would be to have a loft bed, then on the legs, decorate some of it with sea shells, and then every once in a while you skip it and put a pic of you and your friend.
Oh yeah and then for the room you could color it light orange with a dark light beach sand color sorta of. Like but the orange on one wall and then put it on the parallel side of it, and do the same with the dark light beach sand color.
Then like another thing that you could do is use some wire and string it up in a corner in your room or across your room or something. And then what you do is take some other wire and string your a letter of your name through it, and string sea shells through it, so one letter is like decorated and then string the rest of the letters of your name through it.

Oh yeah, if you don't get the loft bed, you could get a full size bed, with a head stand, and decorate the borders of it with sea shells.

You want to just make a suggestion of a beach theme; if you carry it too far it'll look odd.

Are schools creating disabilities in students more than helping students with disabilities?
You are asking for a generalization. I think it varies greatly from one situation to another. I can certainly think of kids who are ';teaching disabled'; or ';parenting disabled'; more than learning disabled. Sometimes it is a matter of matching the child's learning style with the correct teaching method. I have been teaching special education for more than 30 years. My rule of thumb is that if I can teach a kid to read within 6 -9 months, then the child probably is not truly learning disabled. Those are the fix them up and move them out kids. I never feel guilty about those kids, because they did benefit from instruction. However, I try to move those kids back into the regular classroom fulltime as soon as possible. I also monitor them to make sure that they stay caught up with the class. Other kids are more resistant to learning or memory. They are truly disabled, and will have a life long struggle. Those kids will still be disabled when adults, but hopefully will have learned coping skills. Currently, most states are still using the discrepancy model to identify a learning disabilty. The new federal IDEA law, when they finally get the guidelines and procedures worked out, will lean more towards a resistance to intervention definition. The idea is to try more interventions and strategies before the child gets placed into special education program for learning disabilities.

Some of these people had been working for Xerox PARC but got frustrated with Xerox's lack of interest in this new mouse-driven graphical user interface. Most of the Xerox GUI UI team left Xerox and split up to join Digital Research (and created GEM, a product I supported at DRI), Apple (and created the MacIntosh), and Microsoft (where they created Windows--a product I supported while working at Microsoft in '86).
All of these GUI UIs were derived from the same work done at XEROX--work that Xerox never considered as being theirs. They actually licensed GEM back from DRI (I was there when the contracts were signed).

Bill Gates first programming job would be when he offered the principle at his high school a timetable organizer that would be more efficient and easier to use than what the principle had previously been using. Little did Gates' principle know that Bill had created the program to his own benefit... Bill was going to be in all the pretty girls classes. Bill's second job was a summer's work programming in which he earned 4200 dollars. At the age of fourteen Bill Gates and his programming buddy thought up the idea for a traffic counting computer which would later be named 'Traf- o-Data' and earn them 20 000 dollars. But when word got around that the computers were being sold out of a basement by a couple of teens the business fell through. Gates also worked as a Congressional Page and at a programming company called 'TRW'. After dropping out of Harvard Gates created the first basic operating language for the computer. Although Gates has programmed a number of programs he is still going strong at it and is programming as I write this.
He never got credit for developing windows. And is wasn't from Atari or Apple. The original X windows standard, as it was called, was created at MIT Lincoln labs in conjunction with Xerox and Digital Equipment Corp.
In fact Microsoft didn't create the first PC operating system we knew as MS DOS. It was bought by Microsoft and they added enhancements and eventually Windows.
Apple and Atari ';stole'; it from Xerox. This little ';Apple did it first'; crusade is based not facts but the first place YOU saw it.
The graphical OS was a long way coming before Bill Gates
and Steve Jobs (Apple Mac). Apple were the first to
come up with something usable and when Windows

it really depends on the game, if it is web based then your going to need an industrial strength server and web application server. on top of that you will need a permanent IP address , domain name and permanened SSL connection ( NOT ADSL ) but all this comes at cost.
What I suggest is you try and host it on a linux server, download some free linux software onto an old PC and connect it up.

I'm trying to create a Desktop Icon for the game Bioshock. However, I can't find the icon anywhere in my computer to drag onto the desktop. The only thing that has to do with Bioshcok is a folder, which, when clicked, won't play the game, it will just open up into more folders.
