Does anyone know how to go about creating a new political party?

Hello, strange question, I know, just curious and would one day love to go into politics and teach them all how it should be done - firstly by LISTENING!!Does anyone know how to go about creating a new political party?
I already have. I call my affiliation the Responsible Party. If you found a problem, you're responsible for finding a solution. If you broke something, you have to fix it. If you messed something up, you have to clean up the mess.

It's not a strange thought given the parties we have already. You will have to identify what the majority think they want in their lives and offer to help them achieve it. Should you have the power you will find it's not so easy to do.

Perot almost did it, a lot of work after this election if there is no movement for a more centerist party there never will be.

I wish you well, we could do with a political party that LISTENS. The trouble is most of the electorate are to lazy to vote and so we get what we deserve.
me too, i have actualy got the paper work in front of me, a choice of to things here, be a councilor or an mp for a party or independant it cost 150 拢 for registering as council its mors than that i think for the outher not read it yet, just go to you local town hall they have the paper work,Do you realise that there is no representitives for the non european briton we only have euro slaves in parliament.

Money injections to start with.


You will need a dedicated team of folks, advertising / publicity costs, offices, transport %26amp; dear knows what else.


Following all that, you will need to stand for MP in your local constituency, and get support %26amp; importantly - votes.


After that rigamarole,take your seat in ';The House'; %26amp; announce yourself as Leader of the Whatever Party.


Convince other politicians that you are better than sliced bread with you policies, gain more support, then organise candidates up %26amp; down the land.


Only then could you go to the polls as a fully fledged Party.





I tried it once, for a bit of fun, as the Boat Party.


Lost my 拢100 deposit, as it was then, in the 80's


Good fun, and worth a whirl if you have strong issues and answers to problems.


I gave up with it, but ......

I was wondering the same thing. If a moderate party was created and gained some credibility, it would be a legitimate 3rd party.
I really wish i could do it,it costs too much though-and as politics is all about money anyway,MY ';peoples party'; wouldn't get off the ground-much less out of hyde park:-/ Bob the boat made me lol-why didn't i LISTEN to him all those years ago!!
