How much is working class people's lust for gossip partly to blame for creating people like Karen Matthews?

I dont think thats to blame (and does it even exist, judgemental much?).

I think society as a whole is to blame. We live in a culture of getting rich quick and not doing a lot of work for it. Shannon Matthews mother saw a lot of attention and money surrounding the McCanns case and I think that spurred her on to do what she didHow much is working class people's lust for gossip partly to blame for creating people like Karen Matthews?
Obviously you have never sat at a middle class dinner party.

Edit

I am working class and read The Guardian, I wear a shirt and tie for work, I run an office and manage many people. I still regard myself as working class, and would shudder at the thought of anyone thinking I was middle class.

The Likes of Karen Mathews do not read the Sun or the Star, they do not read full stop, the highlight of their day is Jeremy Kyle and the rest of the reality TV nonsense.

She has no class, so stop lumping her in with the working class, she is part of an underclass who wear their stupidity as a badge of honour. How much is working class people's lust for gossip partly to blame for creating people like Karen Matthews?
I dont think this ';lust for gossip'; is only afforded to the working class, they are just more honest about being lusty for gossip...Karen matthews does not represent the working class,,,,,just the scum of the earth....of which there are plenty from all classes of society....what a silly question....
Lumping all the welfare cases together in to huge areas with no job prospects and making breeding grounds for crime and a sponger mentality is the problem.Gossip has absolutely nothing to do with it.
No. I would say it was midde class tory support that forced the Karen Mathews's of the world into the jobless communities where they live.
Believe me this has nothing to do with working class. A certain percentage of people enjoy a witch hunt and some reside on this forum.
That question is quite assumptive and rude. You're implying that only working class people have a 'lust' for gossip.
people in general gossip, class has nothing to do with it
That's a big step.
