What is the point in creating an avatar...?

when you can't see the entire picture? You only see the head.

Anyone else think this is weird? What is the point in creating an avatar...?
I understand the question, you get to make this whole little person and then they lop off the head only, I mean, what about that cute little outfit you picked out that no one gets to see? I think its just a extra little fun thing they give us to do but can't use the whole person because if you see the little square given to show your person, it would be so teeny weeny we wouldn't be able to even see your widdle face in there! What is the point in creating an avatar...?
The avatars used to be visible in their entirety on the 360 site that was linked to our YA profiles. But you CAN still see all the avatar, you just have to work at it a bit. This only works for Yahoo generated Avatars, though. Not for personal ones like yours and mine.

Right click someone鈥檚 avatar.

Select 鈥楶roperties鈥?at the bottom.

Copy info from 鈥楢ddress/URL鈥?section.

Paste into address box in new browser window.

Make the word ';medium'; at the end say ';LARGE';.

Press 鈥楪O鈥?
If you don't want people to see what you really look like than make an avatar.

I am agree.

But the objective might be to hide the originality.
